You may skip the CPAS model options part and leave it to Week 3. Just don’t expand the Model options section when ordering your first few Real Simulation jobs. It will just use some default options.
Order a Real Simulation job for a date in January to simulate synoptic circulation. Keep the resulting data for visualization and inspection in the next few weeks. It would be more fun to visualize your own simulation data in addition to the provided demo data.
